[ARC5] Looking for an easy way to copy 200 ARC-5 emails to a Word doc

Hi Richard,

I do it the way you do it. Thunderbird (and other mail clients) will
allow us to "filter" our mail and that does not always mean put it in
the trash. The filters can automatically sort our mail into those
folders as it arrives. AND, those filters can also sort mail that has
already accumulated in the "inbox" into those folders too. I keep
backups and archives with some of my email messages going back into the
90s. Today I could recall any of them without a lot of fuss. Yes, they
can fill a small hard drive.

My suggestion to Tom is to take advantage of that automation. For people
not already using an email client on the local computer or not using all
of it's features there is a small learning curve but well worth the effort.

Beyond that, there is software that can do just what is asked. If Bob
had to ask he does not know about it and the learning curve is much
steeper. You will be using command line scripts and computer programming
algorithms. Any other methods I know about depend on processing each
individual message, including reading them to evaluate what should be
done. Just as Roy has outlined. That will work but you cannot just click
"Go" and go to lunch while it works.
