I am faintly remembering some info from a LONG time ago: The Dessicant holder for some radio is the same as used in aircraft engines during storage - they are the same thread as the spark plugs.
One company called “Aircraft Spruce” offers all sorts of airplane materials and parts.

These things were in use a LONG time ago, and I would not be surprised if it is exactly what you want.
