The interesting thing about that finding is that you get about 170VDC if you take 120VAC out of the wall socket and run it through a full wave bridge and some filter caps. Today I finished modifying the power supply board from a discarded flat screen TV. It provides 164VDC as well as 11.8VDC at least 3 amps. I am sending it to a friend of mine to power a BC-348 I gave him a couple of years ago.
