Hi:

GPS is easily susceptible to jamming that can be done be accident or using a very low cost jammer.  In this case the 
receiver just does not display a location.  This works on encrypted GPS as well as plain text GPS

GPS is also susceptible to spoofing where a false location is displayed. This became public with the capture of the 
RQ-170 drone. It has also been reported in the oceans adjacent to Russia.

Note that it's not clear if the RQ-170 was using encrypted GPS, but I'd expect that was the case. On the other hand the 
live video feeds from our drones in the middle east were sent via satellite back to Nevada using unencrypted channels 
that could be watched by anyone within a few states of Nevada.
