[ARC5] [Milsurplus] I Must Have Lost My Mind...

Because of the way the keying is designed in the GO-* and GP-* sets.  
With a relatively high frequency power source, the designers keyed the 
primary (115vac) side of the high voltage supply, with only a 1Hy and 
2ufd filter capacitor needed.  You would have to come up with another 
way of keying the transmitter if you didn't want to use 800Hz (or 
higher...) primary power.  People did, and if it's yours you can do with 
it what you wish, but others consider it a challenge to get it to work 
as intended.  I fall into the latter group.
