Sounds like that 230 has a heckuva good signal.

Yes, I’d like to read more about your using cheaper tubes with the BC-230.

I’d also be interested in reading about the circuitry that you’re using to keY the B+ for the BC 230.  
When you keyed the B+ on other projects, you used a resistor and a capacitor to reduce sparking on the relay’s contacts. So I wonder if you are using that snubbing circuitry when keying the B+ here.

Dave, I thoroughly enjoyed reading your TCS receiver restoration article in Electric Radio for March 2019. It’s pretty clear that you not only have a mastery of electronics, but that you also have an equally complete command of the English language and are a superb writer.  Exceptionally well written in my opinion, which makes your article a pleasure to read .
