The C-57 control box has been on eBay recently, brand new. It is the
control box for a broadcast band receiver, although the dial might be
changeable.

Electrically, it is nothing more than a switch, pot and panel lights.

A wiper of the pot
B top of pot (wiper at maximum CW rotation
C Ground (and bottom of pot, wiper at max CCW rotation)
D One side of switch NO
E Other side of switch NO
F Panel lights

A PL-151 plug will work for the connector, and are
available on eBay.

Concerning the pot. ARC had two methods
of controlling receiver output. This head
uses a 5K pot (mine measured 6K). This indicates
that the pot is in the audio output line of the
receiver. Pin A is the headset line, pin B is fed
from the audio output line of the receiver.

If it had been a 50K pot, it would have been in
the cathode circuit of the RF and IF amplifiers.
Note that the receiver itself probably brought the
cathode line out to a front panel plug, which would
have to have been grounded in the plug wiring.

Concerning the switch. ARC had two methods of
on and off. One method is that the switch actually
switched primary power to the receiver, the other method
is that the switch controlled a relay.

Hope this helps.
