Did some scratching around with the leads on that linkedin profile. Novum Institute seems to be a sort of umbrella for a bunch of projects including the museums. Nothing turned up that would give anyone confidence about this. Sorry for all the bandwidth, guess I was bored today.

NOVUM Website:
- Novum Inst. web page doesn't name any company or customer they have served.
- The "Contact Us" address is 8547 East Arapahoe Road J-200, Greenwood Village, CO 80112. It is a UPS Store in the Arapahoe Marketplace Shopping Center near Denver, CO.
- Website legal notices page says "Novum Institute... DOES NOT [my emphasis] seek contributions from the public." Elsewhere on the website it actually has a Contribute page citing "many ways you can make contributions." The UPS store address is where to send your cash contributions. Of course.
NONPROFIT
- Guidestar.org is a searchable list of nonprofits and shows only one Novum Institute, registered in Princeton NJ. The main address cited for that institute (1025 BUNN DR, PRINCETON, NJ 08540) is the address of Stone Hill Church.
- Charitynavigator.org cites the same address & lists Novum as a Protestant, Religion-Related, Spiritual Development, Educational Organization.
Sound sketchy?
LINKEDIN
- Linkedin shows 6 employees for Novum: Mr. Bacon, Georgina Lee, GK Lee, Gina and "myself". Sound like just 2 people to you? A Michael W. Brown is cited as part of some of the Novum projects.
- Bacon's Patent US20090019083A1 was applied for (2009?) but apparently not issued.
- Googled some of the publications he authored. Most only had hits to the Linkedin page itself.
TUBE MUSEUM
http://www.vacuumtubemuseum.org was associated with Bacon & Novum but is a 404 error now. The phone number (303-430-4886) associated with the museum links to 44 Union Boulevard # 250, Lakewood, CO 80228. This street address is called Lake Plaza South, apparently an office for rent complex.
Do we have anyone living up that way who can drop in and see what's what?

His full name is Charles Francis Bacon. Read his LinkedIn profile, https://www.linkedin.com/in/charlesfrancisbacon/ . If you read it carefully you will notice that he never did anything and only has certifications from the company that he formed. He started pestering us on the TCA reflector close to two years ago wanting nothing but donations in any form. It was obvious he was a phony from the start. 73 – Mike

Mark,
You are quite right about museums. However, you will be pleased to hear that the strategic plan for the Vacuum Tube Museum includes active participation and interaction. Visitors to “normal” museums are not learning much from static displays. For vacuum tubes, not only will the tube-based gear be set up for real access, but part of the plan includes an actual tube production line. And, there will be a variety of educational learning experiences, and also hands-on workshops. I am hoping to get a decent building donated before the end of the year.

Hi Dick
I’ve never purchased a tube radio that was ready to go; all required effort to put on the air. Some not a lot, some requiring months (or years in the case of my SCR-274N). Since I put effort into the radios I appreciated the final result.
Who is going to appreciate and take care of your radios? Someone that gets a piece that they’ve been looking for to complete their own station or someone that just bought a trophy radio?
How do you tell who’s worthy? By their track record. Do they talk the talk or walk the walk?
I suppose the exception is a museum, but I’d be very leery of giving anything to a museum. The odds of you even getting to play with the equipment in a museum setting is marginal at best, if they even plan to use it on the air.
BTW, things in your rear view mirror look closer than they actually are; and I really hope that’s true for you OM !!

Completed sets: Ever wonder if there is someone
young enough and close enough to you with the

are ten guys who say they will do so for every one
that actually does it. How do YOU tell?
I've often advocated breaking-up sets so many
people have the chance to complete theirs. I
haven't decided, but my Doc tells me there's this
Grim old fella over my shoulder telling me I
better hurry-up, he's got other appointments :-D
:-D
What do you think, fellas? Break them up or hunt
for an "heir?"
