[ARC5] Single Transmitter Single Receiver 274-N

I have a book on the P-51 that has a factory picture of a P-51B or C with a rack for a single SCR-274-N transmitter next to a rack for a single receiver.  Well, it turns out that someone recently restored a P-51C equipped in the configuration used in China that is equipped that way.  The airplane also has a MN-26 radio compass.  The radio compass loop also can be seen on the WWII photo. 

So it seems certain that there were Command set installations that used only a single receiver and single transmitter.  I don't know what frequency range was used.
