Yes. You won't. Tek's manuals do have some errors, and that is one of them. "Ground"
connects the input to ground so that there is no input signal reaching the following stages. I
usually use that "ground" setting to set the vertical centering of the trace so that when I then
switch to DC, I can measure any DC-offset in the signal I am viewing. Otherwise, I use AC.

Well, it makes sense that you are not seeing anything with the "other"scope's input set to
ground, but it most certainly does NOT make sense that Tek's manual would tell you to set
the input at "ground" to view the signals.

Then use the DC setting if you want to measure any DC offset in the signals you are
viewing, or AC if you want to ignore any DC off-set.
