[ARC5] [Milsurplus] Cool New DC-DC Converter

Hi Scott,
There is a guy at the TRW swap meet that has all sizes of 2-Volt gel-cells
as well as 6 and 12-volt ones, every month at reasonable prices. They are
apparently checked out and recharged surplus from hospitals and other places
with emergency backup supplies that are required to replace them
periodically. I have got good service from them on my homebrew battery
receivers.
What is the size of the GE 260 battery compartment that one would have to
fit into? If interested, let me know if you want one or more of the 2-Volt
kind and I can see if he has a size that fits, and get price and shipping
cost.
Mike, W6MAB
