This is the type of exploration and experimentation that first attracted me to join the ham radio ranks back in 1954 and has kept me interested in electronics ever since.

What could be more exciting than using cutting edge technology to power our beloved ARC-5 (and RAX) radios , and to do it using “feather weight” power supplies!! 

This is exciting stuff.  Hats off to David Stinson who puts new meaning into keeping those filaments lit.
