First: thanks for taking-on an L-5 restoration.
The RCA crystal for this set will typically
be in the range of 3 to 6 MC. The most commonly
used
freqs stateside were 3105 KC, 6210 KC and 4495 KC.
In-theater there were, of course, a wide variety
of
frequencies.
Do you want to operate the radio or do you
need the correct crystal for display?
The individual crystals can be found, but in 50
years
I've never seen an original rack. From the
illustration
in the L-5 manual, it shouldn't be hard to
replicate.
I probably have a correct crystal- Freq won't
matter
for display; as long as it's within 3-6 MC, it
will
be "kosher." If you ever want to actually operate
the
set, a more common FT-243 holder will also plug
into
the crystal socket on the set.
I'll look for one this morning and let you know.
If I have it, will be glad to donate to the
project.
Is your QRZ address good?
