[ARC5] [Milsurplus] AN/ARC-8 In a B-24

Perhaps Robert or others could provide the chronological context for
manual with pages marked AN 08-30ART13-5 but manual cover says Collins
17H-2, Collins publication 520-9300-00. No dates visible, anywhere?
Addendums mention the DY-17.
Published by Laurance Publishing, Cedar Rapids but format, etc. looks
exactly like other ART-13/ATC manuals.  Maybe this was a book Collins
provided to "other" customers.  Pages are marked "Restricted".

The last ART-13 I saw in an operational aircraft was in a USAF C-53 out
of AAFB in DC.  I got to use it on 75 meters on a CAP flight from AAFB
to Wright-Patt in 1960. Additionally, I firmly believe that the 459th
TCW (AFRes) at AAFB had ARC-8s installed in their C-119 aircraft, circa
1960.

BTW, one of my ART-13 units is an ATC with a plastic tag and
nomenclature of COL 52286.  Early ATC?  It came with a -1 CFI, changed
by me to a -2.  Unit was installed in a NASA Convair CV-240 (ex-T-29 or
C-131?) aircraft at Moffet Field.
