As I posted earlier, I have a 522 restoration on my impending retirement bucket list. Think I have more than enough stuff to get one working. If I got one working at age 14 as a novice I can do it again 52 years later. Looking for a similarly affected crazed radio guy to net yours up with? BTW I have a factory fresh NIB original box BC-645 looking for a home on a warbird restoration. No squibs, looks as shiny new as your 522 in your video.
Was thinking of contacting the Yankee Air Museum folks in Michigan. Was very impressed in their static radio systems in the B-17 Yankee Lady. Pretty much complete SCR-287 liaison and 274 command systems, Including most of the cabling. Looks like it wouldn’t take much work to get it all on the air in the air again. They have adapted to use the original intercom junction and control boxes with their modern avionics.
