9V is probably for the panel lamps or perhaps LV for control and preamps.

I suspect that teh transformer secondary is supposed to be used this way:
your config my suggested config
0 55V
9V I dunno
33V 20V
55V CT
75V 20V
107v 55V
With bridges and cap input filters. this gives 55*1.4=+/-77V DC and 20*1.4=+/-28VDC
I don't know what the 9V tap is for.

I hooked up the transformer I got for the young guy who did not know what it was. It is quite different from any I have seen in a piece of consumer electronics. Hooking up 120VAC to the primary, I found that the secondary has multiple taps in series. Putting the multimeter lead on the first two gives 9V, the 1st and 3rd give 33V, then next there is 55V, 75V, and so on up to 107VAC at the other end. Suitably mounted and equipped with switches, this could be a step by step isolation transformer, perhaps good for older equipment designed to work on 110 VAC as well as for gradually powering up equipment where you are worried about the capacitors. Based on the 700W peak rating of the audio amp it powered, it should be good for 3 or 4 amps. Wayne WB5WSV
