The rated impedance of a single R-30 Receiver is 128 ohms at 1 KC. The two
used on the HS-30 are connected in series, so 256 ohms. However, a
complete HS-30 by itself is not usable as the short CD-620-(*) wye-cord is
terminated in two spade terminals. You must add one of four cords (Lo and Hi-Z
terminated in PL-54 and Lo and Hi-Z terminated in PL-55) in order to get to a
PL-54 or PL-55. The later BC-221 models all call for Cord CD-605, which on
one end has a 256:8000 ohm transformer C-410 and on the other a PL-55. Cord
lengths vary from about 36" to around 96", with 60" probably being the most
common.
