[ARC5] Lopsided modulation

Those of us that have tried to listen to SSB with a receiver with a BFO but lacking a product detector (e.g., BC-348) know that one sideband comes in better than the other.

What's the chance that such lopsided modulation is a "feature" rather than a "bug?"
