SCARS Auction
If you live in the Los Angeles area, you should enjoy the SCARS 
(Southern California Antique Radio Society auction), held this coming 
Saturday February 17 at 146 Grand, Orange.  Details are available

The bulk of the items are antique BCB receivers, but there are 
shortwave and boatanchor type items there, too.  For example, I'm 
bringing a R390a, SP600JX17 and 31, (normal and VLF), an early Super 
Pro with p/s, Comet Pro, Heath Apache TX1 with SSB adapter, plus a 
National NC-200, and a 57 and 57B if I can fit them in my truck.  I'm 
getting old, and am auctioning radios I can no longer carry while my 
back is still in good condition, plus attempting to drop to one 
garage full. I'm not the only person there with boatanchors, by any means

I'm not an audio guy, but there is audio equipment too, which 
interests many bidders.

You must be a member to bid, but you can sign up there.  If you buy a 
$5.00 bid card, an excellent fast-food type lunch is free.  If you 
participate, plan on being there all day.  If you plan to sell, I 
suggest downloading the Auction Consignment Sheet and Lot Information 
Cards and filling them out at home.
