I would like to have a copy of that PDF too, Wayne.
BTW, some time ago, I bought a solid-state version of the 1L6 for use in my AN/GRC-109
receiver. The maker/seller installs them in a miniature-tube envelope and it simply plugs into
the 1L6 socket in the R-1004.
He advertises these on eBay for use in the Zenith TO receivers.
I also had him make me solid-state subs for the 1T4 RF amp and IF tubes.
The results are superb. The receiver no longer overloads, the drift is almost non-existent,
and the sensitivity of the receiver appears to be increased. It is far quieter than it was
before.
I HIGHLY recommend his subs.
He can be found on eBay.
I'll try to get his e-mail address to the list here as soon as I can.
