Not exactly. USMC installed the GF-11/RU-16 in the 75MM GMC (Half Track Gun
Motor Carriage) that they received from USA in 1943. This was the M4 Tank
Destroyer that was replaced in USA service by the M18. Brent Mullins found
and restored one to running condition several years ago. I supplied and
helped install the radio set. Some may have been installed in the Stuarts
as well.

Note that the shock mount appears to be a bit rusty, which would indicate a
steel structure and imply a non-aeronautical use.
I think that Robert Downs once indicated that the SCR-283 sets were also
used in tanks?
