I usually have the light roast in the morning and the darker later in the day
for the reason you mentioned. I have a burr grinder at work and get beans from
Peet's or Starbucks or one of the local places that roast it fresh. If I'm in a
super rush I use the Starbucks Via instant. Among the software guys they refer
to the coffee as "programming fluid." Let me have my nice good cup and sit me
down in front of a problem that has stymied the others and I'll have it solved
in short order.
