[ARC5] Coffee - bad?

Hi,
When I was in the Navy serving aboard ships I was always below decks
living among running diesels, boilers, and evaporator plants. Aboard one
ship the 30 cup percolator (for 3 men) was on my work table. When the
coffee stopped bubbling up through the glass bulb on top I notified the
other two guys on my watch. We started drinking coffee. It was hot there
and occasionally the coffee would bubble up through that glass a time or
two. It never occurred to us to remove the coffee grounds. By the end of
the watch the coffee was so strong, if you spilled it on the deck you
could pick it up and put it back in the cup. The boilerman was squeamish
and scrubbed his spilled coffee with soap and water before putting it
back in the cup! I haven't had bad coffee since <evil grin>.
I need coffee in the morning just to find my radios!
