Hi Dave and group –

Back in the late 50’s and early 60’s all I could afford was surplus stuff. I made changes or used parts out of every one. After that I built all my rigs. Built several of the HBR series receivers and designed my own home brew all band transmitter. Now of course Unless real rare, I prefer to get perfect surplus stuff. BTW, I never used conversion manuals as I do not think they were even available when I was playing with that stuff 60 years ago. 73 – Mike

When I find these, I use Voodoo, Black cats, chicken feathers

and grave dust to commit them to the Infernal Regions in a

secret ritual. There, they sit on the tables in the antechamber

which leads into “Hams That Drill Mil-Rigs” Purgatory,

where, after many years, said hams will be cleansed

of their evil urges to defile these artifacts.
