Thanks for this Wayne. All my ARC-5 gear was converted decades before I obtained them and they work fine that way.
The only mil radio I modified was the ATC to use an AC PS and improve audio quality. For the past 20 years it has received excellent reports from those tired of listening to restricted and grating audio. AM has returned to the ham bands en masse and the popularity is steadily growing.
