As a point of interest:
I have a pile of DC-DC converters which deliver
+15V and -15V, and which are isolated from the
supply buss.
As a "lark," I once wired ten of them in series.
They dutifully provided 300 Volts.
Serious Caution:
Given a large capacity primary buss supply
like a 12V battery, these converters can
source AMPERES of current, not just
"tickle me Elmo" milliamps. You get across
a stack of these at 300 Volts and you're
likely to sizzle in your own juices until
The Good Lord, in His mercy, decides
