I did some tests yesterday with my $2.50 Heathkit RF signal generator (my HP-606 is too heavy to haul over there) and the scope looked good, nice CRT display and digital counter and all stable.

The $4.60 part I am using in my attempt to fix the Tek 2225 is the NTE535. The datasheet and the part is available at NTEpartsdirect.com I have no idea on the specs on the original part.

I installed the NTE-535 with a 3.3 megohm resistor in the output (anode lead) to the scope this morning. But I need to get a 1 amp 3AG fuse before firing it up. I used the original fuse in the 2236 I fixed.
