OK, just went to the AIC mic drawer and confirm the carbon element is, in fact, the M-51/UR.  The first general use dynamic (USAF) was the Roanwell M-33A/AIC. Its the black, molded assy. with a wire boom.  This was replaced by the Roanwell M-87/AIC.  In the drawer are some little, round M-10/AIC elements with the 2 part wire boom.  These went with the Army vehicle/armor headsets, I think.....Jeep K3HVG

The T-45 lip mic works.  The T-30 throat mic doesn't.
