I have a GN-58 which I mounted on an old Sears exercise bicycle frame with suitable
gearing from old bicycle parts. The Sears exercise bicycle has 1) a rather large heavy
flywheel, 2) an over-running clutch, and 3) an RPM meter. Pedaling at 60 RPM does the
trick. The kids think it is fun! :-)
I used it to power my AN/GRC-109 on FD one year.
Originally, the exercise bike had adjustable "brakes" for the flywheel to vary the amount of
work it took to pedal it. I took all that off.
I once threatened the kids that they would have to pedal an hour for every hour of TV they
wanted to watch. ;-)
