[ARC5] HAs anyone tried the RF thermocouple on VHF?

I was wondering if the  the ammeter thermocouple  in the RE-2 or BC-442 worked on VHF?Not the assembly, but if it were adapted to detect VHF current .Did they have an ammeter for the T-23?
