I have had several things shipped to me via Fastenal.  It was 
inexpensive, but can be very slow compared to the usual suspects.  The 
reason it's cheap and possibly slow is that they are using it to fill 
their empty trucks going from the store back to the central warehouses. 
If there isn't a truck going back...or another one going from the 
warehouse to your local store...you wait until there is one.

In my two shipments, one was a 700lbs heavy pallet and it took maybe a 
day longer than one would expect from FEDEX/UPS/USPS.  The other, a 
heavy box (80 pounds), got "lost" in the system for a little but and 
ended up taking a week longer than expected.  On the other hand, the 
customer service was excellent - they seemed very concerned that the 
item was lost it was found.

Box shipments had no damage.
