[ARC5] The Mysterious GJR

This is at least the third time I'm removed the
top 
cover from an ARC-5 receiver and found notes from 
"GJR", written always in pencil and always in the
same corner location.  I have at least one other 
photo from a few years ago, that one with a 1945
date.
Still hunting it.  Anyone else seen this?
Any clue about the mysterious "GJR?"
