That "face plate" has been on eBay for sale at
that ridiculous price for several years. No one 
has yet bitten on it. It is NOT rare in any sense
of the word.  Whoever is trying to sell this 
thing is an idiot...or has something else in mind.

It's a reproduction face for an RCA AVR-20.
And hard as it is to believe, the guy
has been relisting it for over TEN YEARS.
I asked him once and he said "people need 
these for their WWII aircraft restorations.
Someone will come along and pay it."
I wonder how much of that $250 he's lost in
continual re-listings for ten years??
