[ARC5] A pair of questions

Hi Bob: The bench power is just for getting the radios working before
building the aircraft harnesses and installing them. The Fairchild will
be a full up flying restoration, so dragging a 220 power cord would be a
little difficult. About the only thing my flight manual says on powering
the radios is to turn receiver control switches and transmitter power
switches to the on position.
Peter: Unfortunately, having big enough batteries in my office is out.
SLA's with enough capacity are quite expensive and weigh a couple of
hundred pounds and flooded cell batteries are a no go due to gassing. If
I were doing this out in the shop, I've got other power options available.

You may want to consider a big battery with a charger/supply that can handle running load plus some to bring back up the battery after each startup.
