Well, you'll never get it done in one sitting!I use the "side bench" approach. Since it's "catch as catch can " mode, I had to find a way to store it away in "standby" between re-capping sessions. Use either a rolling table to pull in to work on when you have a few moments or set it on a board or piece of cardboard to slide it off to the side when you are not working on it.This way i can dive right in instead of setting everything up and breaking it down constantly.
I like to cut the ARC-5 cap cans open with a pipe cutter and put ceramics or mylars inside, then solder them back together., so it's a bit time consuming. However, it seems to get done when I approach the project this way.
