I run the 600 Meter Research Group forum, and from the info that has been repeatedly talked
about there, even the most "efficient" reasonably-sized antenna for those frequecies
averages well under 1% efficiency. In some case, antenna efficiencies are so low that even a
full kW input to them will result in an ERP that is below the required level.
Calculating ERP is not all that difficult if you make some valid assumptions.
Most of those who have operated successfully on 630 meters are outputting at least 200
watts into their "dummy load". I think the BC-191/375 and/or the ARC-5s will be well under
that.
