Sometimes, the screw gremlins show mercy if confronted with sufficiently strong, profane language.

It wasa mystery to me that no matter how hard I tried, I always seemed to lose at least one or two screws when removing and reattaching ARC-5 TX and RX covers. Sometimes more than two.
Over the last 62 years, I might find a lost screw here and there... But most are still in hiding -- around the floor under my workbench or on top of the bench somewhere. Hiding is clearly in the DNA of every ARC-5 screw ever forged..
Now my level of guilt about losing all these screws has been substantial. So this confession seems therapeutic, and I feela whole lot better knowing that I am among friends who have lost as many screws as I have...
It's great to hear about the steps you all have taken to keep anyscrews removed under control and in captivity. Or to retrieve themas David did. I keep my blood pressure pill bottles and put any screws removed in them. Then tighten the lid down firmly so they can't escape. Not totally fool proof, but I find I'm losing fewer screws these days.Best,Tom KE4RHH
