[ARC5] PRC-77 Question

I was attempting to align the A38 Transmitter VFO of a PRC-77 and noted that TM 11-5820-667-36, Page 3-29, Para 3-16b says to connect a frequency counter "between A49 Pin 1 and ground."  

There is no A49 module, nor do they provide instructions for accessing Pin 1, where ever it is.

Any ideas or correct info on this out there?
