[ARC5] AN/ARC-60 to 220?

Has anyone ever moved the CV-431/AR
(civilian designation TV-10) down to
the 220 ham band?

It looks doable, the transmitter isn't
being moved that far, and it looks like
changing the crystal in the receive side
from 110Mc to 100Mc and retuning should work.
I'm only interested in the top end of
the 220 band, maybe 224.5 to 225.

I know it won't be stellar in terms of
performance. Just wondering if anyone
has ever done it, and are there any
unknown roadblocks to watch out for?

I don't recall ever seeing any magazine
articles on the conversion.

Of course, the first item on the agenda
is to get the CV-431 working before modification,
and is now on the workbench.
