Yes. It is a series-feed plate coil, which also rules out an AN/ARC-5 transmitter. 

The numbers showing are 724#. There are three T-54 coils in the SCR-274 series which 
begin with 724#, so, what I am going to have to do is to connect this coil then use my GDO to 
check the resultant frequency.

At this point, not having a complete 3 - 4 Mc unit, I am going to hazard a guess that this is the 
original coil, but using the GDO I can confirm that.
