Gang,
I may have an answer. Do you remember the Hi-Fi amp made from an interphone amp in one of the conversion manuals?
I think this may have been the companion AM BC band tuner to go with it.
Then the next project would be to convert a R-28/ARC-5 to manual tuning of the FM broadcast band and tweek the IF passband leading slope for a higher-fi slope detector. Maybe even run the last IF in saturation to eliminate any remaining
AM
This would obviously need to be built into a beautiful mahogany cabinet to hide its ugliness, The R-28 was not "built for comfort" as other command set were.
My 1.2 cents (inflation)
J KE6PPF Keep up the good topics, This one has run it's course. but I'll bet that hack job could be wired up to work.
Maybe an IF for multiple band block down converters. Let the imagination run wild!
Well Group, I'm off to my youngest daughter's college graduation. See you all in a couple of days.

PS just got the Q&A manual for the general class. It's about time..... I got my wits together!

I'd buy him another bottle just to get the answer to: "Why?"
