I believe the B-17 originally had a 12 Volt bus, and if memory serves 24V came with the C model, , but it might have been later.

Yeah, what could go wrong? Putting a 12 volt radio on a 24 volt electrical buss. They may need to rethink and get a BC-348 receiver.
Many of you undoubtedly know that the legendary aircraft, Memphis Belle, is being restored by the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force in Dayton, Ohio. They are still missing several items and have asked me to help find them. Below is the list. I have included the non-radio items in hope that someone might have a lead.
BC-224-A Receiver
Memphis Belle is a 12V aircraft??
