Hello Jack,   I always read notes such as your with close attention.  
Remember, you have more experience than many, (and especially me), and
in this game every-one benefits from this type of info.   I like to hear
the faults  "out there" and how they are found.   Some (such as Dave
Stinson's "don't forget to check for oxide under the screws on I.F.
cans" are real doozies. )  It's also interesting to note that more
faults of a mechanical nature seem to be found.

Finally,  I'll try to remember not to swap 1626 and 1629 tubes.   
It's strange you should mention that.  I thought I was the only person
who did that sort of thing.
