 The "tower" with the broken piece is indeed the
PA tank coil.  Please send your address as I have 
a replacement we can send to you.  Not at all
hard to replace.
Is there any way you can either post or send me 
photos of the open top and open bottom of the chassis
so we can ascertain the set's condition and where
we need to go to get you on the air?
You can post photos up to a file size limit
here.  Anyone remember the file size?
