Totally off topic, but anyway, you Texas guys always bring to mind Kinky Friedman's book: "Guide to Texas Etiquette, or: How to Get to Heaven or Hell Without Going Through Dallas-Fort Worth". As a former frequent flyer, I can appreciate that subtitle.

Here in Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA, it's always 70 F +/- 15 F all year, the effect of Pacific Ocean on 3 sides.

It is currently 79 degrees here in the woods of East Texas and the temperature in Big D is the lower 60s or upper 50s. A cold front has stalled out in between the areas and is expected to move back north as a warm front.

    Hi Glen,

I blame the Meteorologist for the calendar mixup. Also prevented me from tuning my wire antenna.

Remember, in Texas, we try to schedule winter for January 1, 2, and 3 to get it out of the way, over a holiday, for the remainder of the year! Unfortunately, in the Dallas area, we were a week late this year. It was last week that the temperatures got down in the teens for a couple of days and then back to the higher temperatures in the 70s.

And we just broke a 109 year record in San Antonio with an 83. Gotta love the weather in Texas.
