That article from 73 magazine I referenced a bit ago describes adding the Pullen mixer to a 
BC-779. They were using a nearby BC station as their signal source, so the RF level would 
have been relatively constant. Installing the Pullen Mixer increased the signal level by 2 S 
points on the '779's meter.

Unlike so many articles which were published in 73 Magazine, this one shows quite a bit 
more savy. It isn't perfect, by any means, but it is better than the average 73 article, IMHO.
