Aha, Photo ID!
Sam Stokes just sent me mail saying -
"Guess you know the second image posted is the crew of the USS Cowpens
(CV-25)
with the gear they used to set up communications at the Yokosuka air base.
The
"Mighty Moo" crew were the first to set foot in Tokyo in WWII."
I had grabbed the image from eBay before Sam bought it. Official US Navy
photo. I thought I had that written down somewheres but my brain is like a
sieve - so's my computer.
