[ARC5] Removing Knob White Stuff--The Simplest

I had emailed the list earlier about removing that white stuff that slimes over some knobs after years of storage. I found the lazy man's answer (perfect for me!). Get yourself some "De-Solv-It Contractor's Solvent". This is one of those "citrus-oil" solvents. Maybe any one of that class would work as well.

Anyway, I just put this stuff on a rag and was able wipe the white crap right off. Some light rubbing was sometimes required. But mostly one swipe of the rag will do. I use a toothbrush for loosening caked white slime in crevases, but this product did not seem to work as well on the caked slime as on slimed plain flat, smooth knob surfaces. It still worked. But some effort was required.
So the next time you get slimed, no problem.
