Yes, but not only for Morse keying. This should be done if you're using K53
to turn on the transmitter for AM transmission too, otherwise you get a
large dump of current through the 1625's for the couple of milliseconds
before the VFO contacts make and the VFO starts providing grid drive.
If you're merely using K53 in its original Selector configuration, there's
no need to bother. The contacts make all the time, even when receiving.
