[ARC5] MFP - how to remove?

I have a couple of comments to add from 50+ years of dealing with it.
First, the soldering iron or gun that it takes to quickly heat and melt solder
through a layer of MFP varnish is too large for the job. Second, MFP giblets
are hell on desoldering equipment. So before just putting the soldering or
desoldering iron tip to a MFP covered terminal, always mechanically scrape
most of the MFP off of the terminal. Especially on the side that you are
applying the iron to.
Also a tip on getting ancient solder to melt quickly - lay the end of the
solder across the terminal you are trying to disconnect from and apply the
tip of the iron to that. The combination of a little fresh solder and a
little new flux will materially speed up the melting of the old solder.
